First Flight Futures A Christ-centered youth mission

Rooted in Christ.
Called to serve.

God’s love is our foundation. Every young person is worth showing up for.

We’re building a Christian mission to help keep kids out of the juvenile justice system, stand beside families during detention and support a hopeful return home.

Before detention

Belonging before trouble.

Our vision starts with church and community gatherings, steady mentors and positive activities that help young people stay connected and out of the system.

During detention

Love through the hard days.

We aim to bring Christ’s compassion through approved visits, family encouragement, and prayer and scripture for those who welcome them.

After coming home

A fresh start with support.

We’re building pathways toward education, service and work, with family and mentors alongside young people as they take responsibility and move forward.

Our Christian foundation

Faith that serves.
Love that shows up.

We follow the example of Jesus Christ by meeting young people with compassion, truth and grace. Our calling is to turn faith into practical support: a trusted adult, a place to belong and an opportunity to grow.

God-given worth

See the person.
Believe in their future.

We believe every young person is loved by God and deserves to be met with dignity, patience and care.

Grace & guidance

Walk beside them.
Help them grow.

Christ’s example calls us to offer compassion alongside honest guidance, responsibility and consistent support.

Faith in action

Open a door.
Stay for the journey.

Put love into practice through mentoring, family connection, education and opportunities to serve their community.

“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”
1 John 3:18 · King James Version

The work we’re building

Our faith.
Put into practice.

We’re inviting churches, mentors and community partners to help develop these programs. Mentoring, scholarships, events and facility partnerships are in development.

01

Mentorship rooted in faith

We’re building a network of caring adults who model Christ’s compassion, listen, help set goals and encourage responsibility and the next good decision.

02

Churches & communities, together

Neighborhood gatherings, family meals and community service that bring churches, families and young people together around belonging and purpose.

03

Room to discover their strengths

Sports, creative projects and practical experiences that give kids belonging, confidence and positive ways to spend their time.

04

Scholarships & real opportunities

Our goal is to help open doors to education, skilled trades and career preparation through scholarships and practical support.

05

Hope inside juvenile facilities

Our vision includes approved mentoring visits, encouraging talks and optional prayer and scripture in participating juvenile facilities, offering dignity, accountability and hope.

06

Support for coming home

A circle of encouragement after release, with help reconnecting to school, exploring work and keeping a trusted mentor close.

A familiar voice. A steady reminder.

“I believe in you.
We’ll take the next step together.”

Example of a family message.

When a young person is inside

A parent’s voice
can still be a guide.

For a family facing separation, small moments of connection matter. A familiar voice can carry encouragement, a goal for tomorrow or a reminder that someone is waiting and believes in them.

  • Personal messages & repliesShare recorded words of love, everyday updates and encouragement. Give young people a way to share back when access is available.
  • Motivation with meaningA short pep talk, recognition of progress or one practical step toward a goal.
  • Prayer, scripture & encouragementShare a prayer, a Bible passage or a reminder of God’s love. Faith conversations follow the young person’s and family’s choices.

SendAKite offers recorded voice and text messaging for eligible, verified connections. Youth access requires individual confirmation with the facility and provider, and appropriate parent or guardian involvement. Messages are heard when access is available; they are not simultaneous live calls. Facility monitoring may apply.

Let them hear you believe in them.

I’m proud of the effort you’re making. Today doesn’t have to be perfect. Choose one good thing to do, and tell me about it when you can. I love you, and I’m in your corner.

A positive next chapter

A way forward.
A community behind them.

For young people returning home, our vision is support that continues: relationships, learning and opportunities to build a life they feel proud of.

Building the foundation

Purpose first.
Clear commitments.

First Flight Futures is currently an initiative in development by KITE Global LLC. A separate charitable structure is planned; nonprofit or tax-deductible status has not been established.

We’re welcoming expressions of interest. Donation collection and scholarship applications are not open. Before fundraising begins, we will identify who receives funds, how they will be used and the applicable tax status.

Our commitment is to report what support makes possible: mentoring time, community participation, educational opportunities and eligible family connections.

A few things to know

A shared purpose.
A thoughtful start.

Who is First Flight Futures for?

Our mission centers on young people and their families, especially those who could benefit from stronger community support. Preventing involvement in the juvenile justice system is our first priority. We also want to support family connection during detention and a positive return home.

Are the programs and scholarships open now?

We are developing the programs and bringing together potential mentors, community partners and sponsors. Eligibility, locations, safeguarding requirements and application details will be published as individual programs are established. An inquiry does not enroll a child or reserve a scholarship.

How will mentoring and facility visits work?

Programs will need appropriate screening, training, supervision and parent or guardian permissions. Talks and visits inside juvenile facilities will be arranged with each participating facility. Sending an inquiry does not authorize direct contact with a young person.

Can our family use SendAKite at a juvenile facility?

Availability must be checked for the specific facility, provider and young person before activation. SendAKite’s recorded voice and text messages may be an option where permitted and supported. This page does not promise access at any particular juvenile facility.

How does Christian faith guide the mission?

Jesus Christ is at the center of our mission. God’s love shapes our commitment to compassion, service, responsibility and second chances. We welcome young people and families of all beliefs. Prayer and scripture are offered with respect for personal choice; practical support is not conditional on religious participation.

How can I help financially?

Use “Discuss sponsorship” to start a conversation about future support for scholarships, mentoring, community programs or eligible family connections. This page does not take payments. We will publish the recipient, use of funds and tax status before opening fundraising.
